Sionic, a financial services specialist consultancy, has hired Robert Bing as a partner in the firm's banking and markets practice.
Based in New York, Bing has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry and consulting, with a focus on client relationship management (CLM) and C-suite administration roles. At Sionic, he will specialize in supporting clients with CLM challenges.
Bing has extensive experience working on process re-engineering, anti-money laundering, de-risking strategy, and working with regulators and internal auditors.
Bing previously spent one year at Santander Bank, where he was chief administrative officer (CAO) for North America. His responsibilities included leading a 100+ team focused on client acquisition strategy and process efficiency and building out strategy for staff, onboarding, and training of teams in relationship management and business development.
Before that, Bing spent over 12 years at HSBC Private Bank, where he was latterly CAO. He also previously headed the bank's CLM, business risk and control management, and client onboarding areas.
Bing started his career at Deloitte, where he spent six years in the forensic and dispute services practice, focusing on know-your-customer protocols with banking clients.
He has an MBA from Felician University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from New Jersey City University.

Sionic was recently acquired by Davies, a UK-based professional services firm focusing on the insurance industry.
