I say “hard” because we address some points people need to hear. #1. Not everyone will want to be your friend. #2. You also don’t have time to be everyone’s friend. Molly released several episodes about friendship over the past month. “Friendship in Age of Social Media” I had a blast talking to Shane and Jenna, the mother/daughter duo who host of The Social Dialogue Podcast. We had an excellent discussion about moving to a new city, the friend who makes most of the effort, and whether there’s truly “always room for one more.” The most interesting TV couple these days: The Diplomat Books, Shows, & Recipes I’m Into These Days READING: I’m currently listening to Are You Mad at Me? by Meg Josephson and reading both an early release of Joyride by Susan Orlean and Go Gentle by Maria Semple. Here is my updated 2025 reading list. TV: I’m keeping up on The Morning Show week to week. I devoured The Diplomat season 3. I finished season 2 of Nobody Wants This. The stereotypes are hard to take, but I did breeze through the whole season. I’m also watching Your Friends and Neighbors. At least we stumble upon words and images we know our friends will find hilarious or touching. “This made me think of you.” It’s not that we have to write those actual words. The mere act of sending something you found delightful to a friend inherently says, “This made me thing of YOU.” Friendships are often built on these little recognitions instead of grand gestures.
