Our oldest will be 11 soon and is starting to phase out of the typical birthday party things. (Wiping a tear…) She has requested a movie night with her friends. Challenge accepted!
First we start with the snacks. There's so many things to choose from, and not everyone likes the same stuff, so I went for a random assortment. She also has a friend with gluten and dairy allergies, so this pack is perfect.

Then we needed to figure out the viewing options. Television and fire stick? Nope…we went for a projector and screen!
We chose a mini Bluetooth projector for this. It's also a random brand because of pricing, but it works great. It's something we can use for future movie nights, family nights, and whatever else we choose to project.

Screen? This one was easy (and cheap). We got a plain white shower curtain. Crazy, I know, but budget friendly and easily replaced if needed. We have a metal shed/garage that we plan to attach it to, so heavy duty magnets will come in handy with pulling the "screen" tight.

Of course we will need seating. With a summer birthday, this was a no-brainer. We are using pool tubes for chairs. The size we decided on is 36 inch diameter and a variety of colors. The floats will be party favors for the kids that are able to come.

And, of course, we will have cake and ice cream. Hotdogs for supper. I think this will be a new favorite in our household. Easy and it makes everyone happy. Now to choose a movie…
