[New post] Interview with Coach Nakira T. Darden|Author Interview
hjbookblog posted: " It is my pleasure to host Coach Nakira T. Darden on my blog today. Her book Once Lost, But Found is available for pre-order. What made you pen down Once Lost, But Found? What made me write Once Lost, But Found is being able to share my story " http://hjbookblog.wordpress.com
What made me write Once Lost, But Found is being able to share my story of transformation, elevation and growth with others to motivate them to, also do the work to live their true best life. My mission is to touch and empower young women and women with the resources, tools and skills they can use to heal and grow. The information is not religious based, so anyone can benefit from the information shared in Once Lost, But Found if they are ready to do their work to Be better.
What should readers expect from it?
What readers can expect from Once Lost, But Found is me sharing some of my life experiences that were challenging, difficult, unhealthy, and traumatic. To say the least. Throughout the book I share different strategies, tools, and skills I learned and used that really supported me in healing, shifting and growing. What is also clear throughout the book is constant motivation to do the work. As well as some exercises and activities that can be completed and implemented to support readers in doing their work.
How long did it take you to write the first draft?
Wow, to be honest, a few years. As I started and restarted several times to write this amazing read. Yet, over the past year I became serious about my purpose, passion and mission to elevate the consciousness of Women. So, I was blessed with meeting Mrs. Michelle and immediately I was motivated and encouraged to complete the task of becoming an Author. So, I did it and it took me about a year.
Yes, I have always felt one of the ways I would reach more Women was to write and have my books accessible across the world. Writing I have found, opens doors and opportunities to be introduced to more than meets the eye. I enjoy writing!!!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
What I like to do in my spare time is read, study, create, shop and travel. I am always challenging myself.
Did you have a writing schedule?
Not really. I just wrote when thoughts came so that I wouldn't lose that focus. Writing for me I made fun. I didn't want to set a schedule cause I wanted things to flow and be authentic. So, when I felt it I wrote!
Are there any new projects underway?
Why, Yesssssssss. I am working on my next book currently. This one I am really excited about because I am really sharing some intimate and personal things about myself that I pray really helps others.
Coach Nakira T. Darden was born and raised in north Philadelphia. A true spirit, she enjoys art, learning new things, travelling and reading. Looking back, she always found joy in helping and motivating others. Because of her experiences with trust, traumas, and pain she sought external validation from others to feel a sense of self worth which didn't last too long. Finally, through self actualization, she learned that the only validation she needed was internal and to please the Most High.
With this book and self challenge guide, she shares her journey through "Once Lost, But Found", touching several different topics and strategies she uses and has created to support herself and others. Nakira has persevered through multiple adversaries, yet has endured. She is now a beacon of light to many as she personally evolved by staying the course and trusting the process.
