India cricket team beat the Sri Lanka cricket team in the third and final T20I of the three-match series by six wickets at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma had already won the last two games and taken an unassailable lead in the series.
However, a win in this game has taken men in blue to 12 consecutive T20I victories, which is now the joint-most with Afghanistan by any Test-playing nation in the shortest format of the game.
India was helped by brilliant batting from Shreyas Iyer who was once again the kingpin in the victory with his unbeaten 73 to guide his team home.
Along with him, Ravindra Jadeja was once again the man with Iyer to finish the game. He remained unbeaten on 22 off 15 balls.
India chased down the target of 147 with six wickets in hand and 19 balls to spare
Earlier in the day, Dasun Shanaka's brilliant innings of unbeaten 74 off just 38 balls show the kind of talent that he is and what potential he has and Sunil Gavaskar rightly said that he should have been picked up by any of the IPL teams.
Courtesy of the best ever score from Shanaka in T20Is, Sri Lanka managed to get to 146-5 after struggling at 50-4 at the end of the 11th over. India needed 147 to win.
