Hi friends! I wanna start this email with sending you a huge THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, for all your support after my last email. I know it's not easy reaching out and sharing your own story, especially when it's one of sadness and loss. So I appreciate your vulnerability and openness ♥️ To be honest I was hesitant to share our journey with pregnancy and miscarriage. It felt too private. But I'm also frustrated with how becoming a mother is often portrayed online - as this blissful experience where everything runs smoothly and all of a sudden you have a perfect little baby. You rarely see the bumps in the road and the struggles of getting there. Let alone hear about the not so blissful experiences. Believe me when I say that all I want is for my next pregnancy to be one of harmony and joy. A big part of the sadness after these miscarriages is the loss of that blissful, trusting experience. Knowing that from here on, there will inevitably be a lot of worry and fear involved. But perhaps one can carry all of those emotions at once? We are after all complex human beings with messy inner lives. Let's leave that topic for now and talk a bit about life in general. I've had a PACKED week, with lots to do on this *new* direction I'm heading in. Focusing more on my own courses and digital products means that I have to not only create those offerings but also step up my marketing and branding. The entire Cashew Kitchen cosmos is in need of a face lift, which I am slowly working on alongside my content creation. At the moment it is the upcoming Preset Pack that takes up most of my time. I've finally decided to focus on 3 collections that comes in a bundle. Meadow, Foodie & Vintage Love. In total about 12 presets (each collection consists of 4 presets of similar tone & feel). I go through phases when it comes to which collection I use the most. At the moment Vintage Love is my favorite ♥️ I can't wait for summer to arrive so I can use it on all of those dreamy golden hour shoots! I've also picked up writing on the blog again, which feels SO right. I've missed writing these longer articles, about creativity, intuitive business, personal growth and photography. The first post is about my 2022 intentions, with a bunch of open-ended questions that you are very welcome to use for your own reflection. This weekend I'm hoping to find lots of time for reading, drinking tea and walking with podcasts in my ears. I also want to continue clearing out stuff in our house, so that we can move into spring with a lighter feel. What are your plans for the weekend? ♥️ Keep reading for this week's news, self-care and book & podcast recommendations. |
