Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal tabled by the Minister of Ports and Shipping to take necessary steps to implement the aforesaid project as proposed. As per the Ministry of Ports and Shipping, the project will be launched as a public-private joint partnership project. It is also noted that this development will not impose limitations to the traditional services of the port and investments from the private sector.
