| I'm not much of a shopper, but I do keep lots of notes on what I want to buy. It takes me a while to pull the trigger, and Prime Days is the excuse I need to score serious deals. Here's a look at what I'm reading and plan to shop this month. And if you're wondering if you won a $100 gift certificate to Bodega by Sabor in Calgary, you'll have to read on!  Elk Island National Park is one of my favourite summer spots, located just outside of Edmonton.
My Summer Essentials How am I so late to the Ninja Creami party? Now I can make THE BEST dairy-free ice cream! So many people have been admiring my new crossbody bag. I went with Beige-1 for summer. My designer friend recommends these pinch-pleat curtains. I'm obsessed with silk pillowcases. These are on sale! My new favourite shampoo and conditioner. Chapped lips? Not with this lip mask! The big, amazing thing I'm buying on Prime Days.  I'm a fan of enamel cast iron. Such easy cleanup!

Juicy Summer Reads Off Menu, written by my friend Amy Rosen, is perfect for foodies craving a fun, romantic read. I couldn't put down The Ministry of Time. It's the best book I've read so far this year. Lies and Weddings is another fun read by the author of Crazy Rich Asians. Feel Better Now: The Life-Changing Power of Simple Pleasures is so enlightening.  I'm highlighting the heck out of this book.
Connections Why do most of us have a hard time remembering someone's name? Making friends in new places - there's a critical window for this. How to make connections when you enter a room solo. Instead of opening up an old photo album, use your senses to revisit happy memories. The constant work to keep a family connected has a name. How do you photograph happiness?  Head to Bodega by Sabor's 4th Street Calgary patio for $12 plates of paella on Friday.
Dine Out BODEGA by Sabor has officially opened on Calgary's trendy 4th Street. I couldn't get enough of their prawns and paella. This Friday, July 11th, from 2-5 pm, they're making a giant cowboy paella with bison, steak, chorizo, and beans and selling it off the patio for $12. They have such great weekly deals (Thursday's my favourite), but Lindsay G can go anytime she likes, because she's just won a $100 gift card for this buzzing restaurant!
