Alexandria House's saga continues with part two of her Romey University story with Professor Sharla London and photographer Jovani Higgs. Higgs partnered with the school, agreeing to photograph willing participants for an exhibit (faculty, staff, students) unclothed without showing their faces. While staying on campus, he meets Professor London, and there's an instant connection between them.

They realize their significance in each other's lives and aren't willing to forgo that at any cost. What transpires is a whirlwind of love, trust, understanding, and self-discovery, both collectively and individually. As usual, House did not skip on the intimacy, and I appreciated each character's layers, but I still gravitated toward Nadia and Nathan. It's something about them I can't put my finger on. It could be the dominant and submissiveness of it all. I'm not sure.

However, I love that Higgs is an empath and London is a seer. And the energy that the two of them have with one another is undeniable. I especially love that House is bringing readers solid, sensitive, intelligent, Black characters who aren't afraid to be themselves and explore love, relationships, career, family, etc. It's nice to see because, as readers, especially African American readers, we tend not to see or have the opportunity to read books like Touch Me or Mika Jolie's The Scale and what so many other authors are producing, for example. So it's much appreciated.

I want to note that books like House's Touch Me or Jolie's The Scale aren't focused solely on sexual gratification alone. It's about preference, and readers like what they like. These authors and others who write for this particular genre and audience provide readers with solid storylines, powerful characters, and an all-around engaging book from beginning to end.

If you are into books like Alexandria House's Touch Me or are looking for something different to explore, try reading House's Romey University series. I will start the last story soon, so be on the lookout for my review. House's Touch Me is available everywhere books are sold.
